Your Mission
As a Technical Trainer with proven RECIP (Reciprocating Compressor) experience, your mission is to empower our customers--Operators, Maintenance Managers, and Rotating Equipment Engineers--with the technical confidence and knowledge to safely and efficiently operate and maintain reciprocating compressors.You'll bring deep, real-world RECIP expertise into every session, making your training not only practical but indispensable. Reporting to the Global Product Manager - Customer Training, Compression Division, you will play a key role in advancing compressor competence across the globe.
How you will make a difference- Train like an insider: Deliver high impact live and virtual training sessions grounded in your own hands-on experience with reciprocating compressors.
- Shape training from the field up: Adapt and optimize technical training programs using your working knowledge of RECIP systems and service practices.
- Design with purpose: Prepare tailored training materials, realistic case studies, and hands-on content that speaks to real-world compressor challenges.
- Run it like a pro: Handle all aspects of training execution, including planning, feedback collection, and post-training evaluation.
- Mentor with precision: Assess participant skills and provide personalized feedback, drawing on your decade of field expertise.
- Pass the torch: Help onboard and mentor new trainers, sharing your deep RECIP knowledge and setting quality standards.
- Always be learning: Keep your own technical expertise razor-sharp through workshops, technical updates, and industry best practices.
- Build smarter programs: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and expand training curricula using the latest tools and compressor tech trends.
- Technical foundation: A Bachelor's or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Field-proven expertise: Minimum 10 years of technical experience with reciprocating gas compressors (installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance).
- Training leadership: At least 3 years of experience delivering technical training--ideally to rotating equipment professionals or customer-facing roles.
- Professional training background: Certification in technical training (e.g., STT or similar) is a strong plus.
- Digital fluency: Skilled in MS Office (especially PowerPoint), e-learning platforms, and mobile learning tools.
- Travel ready: Willing to travel globally to deliver on-site trainings.
- You're a natural communicator: Clear, confident, and engaging--able to connect with both engineers and operators.
- You have presence: Comfortable speaking to groups, leading workshops, and guiding discussions both in person and online.
