Our client is a global market leader in the field of electromechanical systems for hydropower plants and is currently looking for a Head of R&D Electromagnetics and Software for Generators (m/f) based in Weiz/Graz (Austria). If you are interested, we look forward to receiving your application!

• Leading the development team for electromagnetics and generator software
• Responsibility for major development projects in the field of electromagnetics
• Supporting project managers in the areas of electromagnetics, software, and related physical development topics
• Technical and strategic development of methods and tools for electromagnetic field calculation
• Contribution to the optimization of generators and phase shifters
• Management and coordination of internal and external development resources

• Completed technical degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from a Technical University)
• At least 5 years of experience leading development projects, ideally with leadership responsibilities
• Proficiency in C# and FEM tools in the field of electromagnetics
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Experience with rotating electrical machines (REM) and project management is an advantage
• Very good command of English and a willingness to learn German
• Willingness to travel approx. 10-15% (e.g., international conferences, customer visits)
• Structured, independent, and precise working style

• Annual gross salary starting at €63,000 with overpayment depending on qualifications and experience (+ bonus)
