Tax Manager - Vienna, Austria

We are looking for a skilled Tax Manager to join our Finance team and take ownership of our tax compliance, planning, and reporting processes, based in Vienna, Austria.

• Tax Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure timely and accurate filling of all required tax return
• Oversee preparation of corporate income tax, VAT and all other statutory tax filings
• Maintain compliance with evolving tax laws and regulations
• Tax Provision and Financial Reporting
• Prepare and review tax provisions in accordance with accounting standards (IFRS and local GAAP)
• Collaborate with the Finance team during month-end and year-end closing processes
• Provide tax-related input for financial statements and external audits
• Tax Planning
• Evaluate the tax implications of business initiatives, investments, or transactions
• Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
• Work closely with the Treasury team to estimate the monthly tax liabilities, ensuring timely and accurate tax payments
• Risk management
• Assess tax risks and implement internal controls to mitigate potential exposures
• Respond to inquiries or audits from tax authorities
• Ensure adequate documentation to support tax positions
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Coordinate with external tax advisors, consultants, and auditors

• Degree in Taxation, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 3-5 years of tax consultancy experience, ideally in an international or fast-growing company
• Solid knowledge of local and international tax regulations and transfer pricing regulations
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills with a structured and proactive approach
• Excellent communication skills in German & English (mandatory)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on experience with financial and ERP systems
