Department Manager - Technical Customer Support and Repair (f/m/x)

As a Department Manager in Technical Support and Repair, you'll be responsible for leading a team and serving as the primary contact for detailed technical and organizational inquiries regarding on-site service.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborating on and building the Customer Support and Repair department within a product area
• Leading a team of Customer Support and Repair professionals
• Addressing all technical inquiries and standard questions regarding applications and sales
• Regularly monitoring the processing status of all support tickets within the product area
• Planning and conducting training sessions for service technicians
• Performing in-house repairs and product-specific tests
• Creating service documents such as service manuals, maintenance logs, and videos
• Supporting subsidiaries and distribution partners with installations, commissioning, and on-site service/maintenance assignments
• Proactively providing technical support to the global sales and service network
• Occasionally conducting installations, commissioning, and service/maintenance assignments at customer sites
• Managing the improvement process by analyzing and generating error statistics and quality metrics, as well as evaluating feedback from various application areas of our measuring devices
Requirements:
• Completed technical education in mechatronics, electronics, mechanical engineering, or equivalent (e.g., vocational school, technical college, university)
• Several years of experience in service and customer interactions
• Leadership experience is advantageous
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Sense of responsibility and assertiveness
• Manual dexterity
• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel
